Arizona basketball has had not one but two helpful news items filter through campus already this week.

Mere hours after guard Rawle Alkins announced he was withdrawing from the NBA Draft to return to Arizona to play his sophomore season, the Wildcats learned that Emmanuel Akot had decided to reclassify into the 2017 class.

Akot originally committed to Arizona as part of the 2018 class, but he will now graduate from high school early and enroll at Arizona next season.

"After much thought, my family and I have decided to join the 2017 class and become a member of the Arizona Basketball family next season," Akot announced.

Akot, a 6-7 athletic small forward, immediately moved to No. 20 in 2017's rankings, according to 247Sports.com's composite. Arizona also has No. 3-ranked DeAndre Ayton, a 7-foot center who was at one time ranked No. 1 in the 2017 class.

With star guard Allonzo Trier also back for the Wildcats, it's hard to imagine a more loaded roster entering next season.

Coach Sean Miller's team could very easily be No. 1 when the preseason rankings come out in the fall.
