Danny Cipriani has been omitted from a three-day England training camp but Manu Tuilagi and Chris Ashton have been called up by Eddie Jones.

Cipriani will not be among the 36 players who will gather for three days of training in Bristol - starting on Sunday - just over a month after he pleaded guilty to common assault and resisting arrest in Jersey.

The fly-half has made an impressive start for new club Gloucester, but Jones has opted to overlook the former Wasps playmaker.

Injury-plagued centre Manu Tuilagi, who has not played a Test for two years, gets the nod along with Ashton, despite the fact the wing is serving a seven-week ban after being sent off in a pre-season friendly following his move from Toulon to Sale Sharks.

Uncapped wings Nathan Earle and Joe Cokanasiga have also been selected, while Danny Care, George Kruis, Zach Mercer and Jack Nowell are back in the fold.

England play South Africa on November 3 before taking on New Zealand, Japan and Australia at Twickenham later that month.
