The remaining losing records in the 2021/22 Emas Anuar Sepak Takraw League (STL) season finally ended after the Johor Tigris and the Bomba Fighters picked up morale-boosting wins on Sunday.

2019 STL Champions Cup winners Johor clinched their first win in five matches by getting past the Perak Bison 21-11, 16-21, 21-10.

The result condemned the Bison to their fourth defeat in five matches and, coupled with the Bomba's surprise 21-14, 22-20 victory over the Kelantan Warriors, sent them down to the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, defending champions Kuala Lumpur Thunder continued their recent revival by beating Klang Valley rivals Selangor Pistons 21-16, 18-21, 21-18 in a heated affair.

To rub salt into Selangor's wound, their team manager was given a red card during the match.

The Thunder's second win in a row sent them to third on the league table, two points behind joint-leaders ATM Guardians and Penang Black Panthers albeit playing an extra match.
