Parramatta Eels produced a superb turnaround to stun the high-flying Canberra Raiders in the NRL on Saturday.

After falling 16-0 down in Darwin, Brad Arthur's side stormed to a 22-16 victory that moved them into the top eight.

The Raiders, who would have gone joint-second with a win, failed to score again after a 31st-minute Sebastian Kris try appeared to have put them in total control.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Jack Wighton had already crossed by that point and there was little sign of what was to come from the Eels until a quickfire double late in the first half changed the complexion of the contest.

Manu Ma'u and Blake Ferguson dotted down to cut the gap to four and the latter doubled his tally after the interval, with Mitchell Moses having the final say.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Newcastle Knights sealed a 26-12 victory over Brisbane Broncos and Manly Sea Eagles thrashed Gold Coast Titans 30-12.
The Knights lost Kalyn Ponga to injury in the build-up but a dominant 18-0 first-half showing laid the platform for a victory that sends them fifth.

Edrick Lee, Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Mason Lino all touched down, ensuring second-half scores from Thomas Flegler and Kotoni Staggs were merely consolations for the Broncos.

In Queensland, Curtis Sironen was the two-try hero for the Sea Eagles, who touched down five times against the struggling Titans.
