“Crazy Dog” Dae Sung Park wants to continue his impressive winning run in ONE Championship, but to do that, he’ll have to score a victory against a hard-hitting Singaporean who carries bags of cement in his gloves.

Dae faces Amir Khan in a lightweight mixed martial arts clash at ONE: COLLISION COURSE II, a previously recorded event that airs this Friday, 25 December.

“I know Amir Khan is a veteran in ONE Championship, and I know he is very tough,” Dae said.

“But I trained very hard for this bout, and I hope we will show fans a very good performance.”

When two men of this caliber step into the ONE Circle, you have to imagine that they will put on more than just a “good” performance, because the track record of both athletes speaks volumes.

Khan is tied for most knockouts in ONE Championship with nine, and Dae is riding a four bout win streak that started back in his ONE Warrior Series days.

Because of the dynamics that this fight presents, martial arts fans shouldn’t expect it to go the distance. After all, Dae himself doesn’t see the contest leaving the second round.

“I believe this fight will end before the second round,” Park said.

“I see myself finishing him, but if not, I think this will be a very dominant fight where I crush Amir Khan with my pressure, with my wrestling, and with my grappling.”

But that’s if he can get Khan to the ground. The Singaporean standout loves himself a good old fashion fist fight while mixing in some of the devastating Muay Thai attacks he’s known for.

“His strength would be his elbows – he knows how to use his elbows very well. [As] for his weaknesses, I believe he is weak to athletes who come forward and pressure him, and also an athlete who has good wrestling and who can outpower him,” Park said.

“I respect his power. I know his striking power is very strong, and he knows how to finish his opponents, but I believe when it comes to clinching, grappling, and wrestling, I am a bit stronger than him. And I believe if I close that distance, I can come out on top.”
