Commonwealth Games: Siti Zalina wins first individual lawn bowls medal in 16 years

Malaysian lawn bowler Siti Zalina Ahmad won her fourth Commonwealth Games medal after she defeated Norfolk Island's Shae Wilson in the women's singles bronze medal match on Monday.
The 43-year-old, who lost to Guernsey's Lucy Beere 15-21 in the semi-finals earlier in the day, made amends by winning 21-10 in 16 ends.
Despite the pressure, it was one of the three-time Southeast Asian Games medalist's quickest games at the Victoria Park in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire — her shortest outing was 15 ends against Niue's Olivia Eunice Buckingham in the sectional play.

Siti previously won gold in the event in the 2002 edition in Manchester and then defended it in Melbourne four years later.
She also came out on top in the women's pairs with Emma Firyana Saroji in Gold Coast in 2018, which they would defend starting Tuesday.
