Malaysian lawn bowlers Siti Zalina Ahmad and Emma Firyani Saroji finished empty-handed in the women's pairs event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games after losing in the bronze medal match to New Zealand.

Despite leading 12-11 at one point, the Gold Coast 2018 winners eventually conceded a 15-20 loss to Selina Goddard and Katelyn Inch at Victoria Park.

Meanwhile, Australia's Kristina Krstic and Ellen Ryan won the gold medal by defeating English pair Sophie Tolchard and Amy Pharaoh 19-18 after an extra end was required due to a tied score at the end of regulation.

The Malaysian lawn bowls contingent contributed two medals so far: Siti Zalina with women's singles bronze and the women's triples team bagging a silver medal.
