Malaysia reached its target of winning six gold medals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Saturday thanks to rhythmic gymnast Ng Joe Ee.
The 16-year-old won two gold medals in individual events at Arena Birmingham, first in the ball event and then the ribbon event.
Ng also became the first Malaysian to win two rhythmic gymnastics gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, surpassing Elaine Koon and Amy Kwan who had one each.

Prior to the start of the day, the national contingent had already won four gold medals through the badminton team and weightlifters Aniq Kasdan, Aznil Bidin and Bonnie Bunyau Gustin.
They now matched the Glasgow 2014 gold medal tally, while their best Commonwealth Games performance was bringing home 12 gold medals in the 2010 edition.
