Carmelo Anthony is famous for cursing on the court, especially when rebounding. If you haven't heard him in action, check out the many YouTube videos on the topic (stating the obvious, these videos are NSFW and definitely not kid friendly).
So while Anthony's salty language is no secret around the league, it is apparently news to one of his new teammates, Thunder center Steven Adams.
Adams smiled when reporters told him Monday that Anthony sometimes yells, "Get the f— outta here," when clearing the boards.
"Ohhhhhh, I didn't kow that, but it's just funny, I hear him say something," Adams said (via Fred Katz, Thunder beat writer for NormanTranscript.com). "The way he gets it is like so flamboyant. He likes to have fun out there. It helps him, I guess."
Adams' reaction when he hears Anthony yell?
“I let him get it. He doesn’t have to say those harsh words," Adams said.
Anthony later told Katz he's been using harsh language while he rebounds "for a long time."
"It makes it fun for me to go out there and challenge myself (to rebound)," he said.
Anthony is averaging 23.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in his first season with OKC.
