Broncos rock bottom after home humbling

London Broncos were left bottom of the Super League table after a 36-6 home defeat to high-flying Warrington Wolves on Saturday.

A one-sided Wire win saw the Broncos drop back below Hull KR, themselves heavily beaten on Friday, to miserably prop up the standings.

It could have been much worse for the hosts, with Warrington 36-0 up at half-time before taking their foot off the gas.

Tom Lineham opened the scoring with a fifth-minute try and Mike Cooper, Bryson Goodwin, Jake Mamo, Jack Hughes and Toby King then all also went over before the break.

Matthew Fozard responded early after the restart but there was to be no miraculous recovery as the scoring stopped there.

There was another big scoreline in France, where Jodie Broughton's hat-trick set Catalans Dragons on their way to a 44-10 defeat of Wakefield Trinity.

Broughton scored two of four first-half Catalans tries and completed his treble three minutes into the second half.

There was time for man of the match Tony Gigot to cross for a late double on his return from injury as Wakefield found themselves completely outclassed.
