Steph Curry reiterated his stance on not being okay with being part of an average team after leading the Golden State Warriors to winning ways on Wednesday.
Curry tallied 31 points and eight assists, propelling the Warriors to a hard-fought 116-115 triumph over the Minnesota Timberwolves to halt their recent slump.
Andrew Wiggins added 24 points for a depleted Warriors team seeking a spark on the last stop on a four-game trip after falling below .500 for the first time this season.
Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo each scored 28 points for the Wolves, who trailed by 24 points in the first quarter and fought back for a 108-all tie with a minute left.
The Warriors had started the season 12-3, but have since collapsed after a run of poor results, sitting 10th in the Western Conference with a record of 20-20.
Speaking after the game, Curry sent a fiery message to fans who have done nothing but fire up the trade machine and worry about the team amid their ongoing run of form.
"All the Twitter fingers who've got deals that we need to make can kind of shut up a little bit and let us figure this thing out," Curry said.
"We know we can be competitive, we showed that toughness tonight. We've been great for a very long time, this is just a unique year.
"We have a whole lot of confidence that we can beat anybody."

Curry has been in fine form this season, averaging 22.5 points per game, five rebounds and six assists so far, but the Warriors have continued to fall short of his standards.
Many would be surprised if the Warriors did not make a move ahead of the trade deadline, but Curry was quick to note that his job is to win games, not improve the roster.
"Anyone who thinks I'm okay with being on an average basketball team is insane," Curry said.
"Trade machines are fun, but what does that actually look like? We’re gonna handle our business. Mike [Dunleavy] is gonna handle his. We will see where we end up.
"That’s the expectation for me, trying to lead the team. Again, it doesn’t mean that you’re reckless."
