Victoria Lee may be the newest addition to ONE Championship, but she’s far from a newcomer to the world of martial arts competition.
At just 16 years old, the two-time Pankration Junior World Champion has already put together a stellar run in her young career.
Let’s dive a little deeper and detail three reasons why Lee could be the next big thing in ONE Championship.
1 – World Champion Siblings
Victoria’s older sister and brother – “Unstoppable” Angela Lee and Christian “The Warrior” Lee – have dominated their divisions in The Home Of Martial Arts.
Angela, the ONE Atomweight World Champion, captured the belt at ONE: ASCENT TO POWER in May 2016. Christian later claimed the ONE Lightweight World Title at ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON in May 2019, and both fighters have remained dominant in their World Title reigns.
What does that say about Victoria? For starters, she’s had two World Champion role models to learn from, and those world-class skills have probably rubbed off on her during family training sessions.
2 – Incredible Ground Game
Lee is a 15-time Naga Expert Champion and a Hawaii State Wrestling Titleholder, which she achieved while balancing athletics with studies.
Furthermore, her brother-in-law is none other than Bruno “Puccibull” Pucci, a two-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi World Champion who will undoubtedly help Lee improve her ground game even more.
Lee will be ferocious on the canvas, and all challengers should be aware of that threat when the teen phenom makes her ONE debut.
3 – International Experience
Whenever Lee enters The Home Of Martial Arts, she won’t have to worry about being nervous for her first international contest.
That’s because the youngster has already competed outside of the United States, including in Rome, Italy, where she took home a gold medal for winning the 2019 IMMAF Youth World Championships in the 57-kilogram division.
With experience like that, there’s no doubt Lee will feel right at home when she enters the ONE Circle for the first time.
