The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) named a full-strength team for the upcoming Thomas Cup that included Lee Zii Jia and Ng Tze Yong on Friday.

Lee had earlier indicated through Team LZJ that he may opt out of the biennial affair to focus on improving his world ranking, but it is now confirmed he will lead the country's challenge in the men's singles that also includes Ng, Leong Jun Hao, Cheam Jun Wei and Justin Hoh.

The men's doubles contingent will be led by Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, along with Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin and Choong Hon Jian-Haikal Nazri.

Malaysia are in the same group as Denmark, Hong Kong and Algeria for the Thomas Cup that takes place in Chengdu, China from April 28-May 5.

Lee, Chia-Soh and Goh-Izzuddin are currently in action at the ongoing Badminton Asia Championships quarter-finals on Friday.

As for the Uber Cup, the national body named a team that excluded women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M.Thinaah.

Goh Jin Wei, K. Letshaana, Siti Nurshuhaini, Tang Zhing Yi & Wong Ching Ling will aim to deliver the points in the women's singles, while the likes of Teoh Mei Xing, Go Pei Kee, Ho Le Ee and Chan Wen Tse will do battle in the women's doubles.

Malaysia are drawn with Australia, Chinese Taipei & Thailand in the Uber Cup.
