Zii Jia, Tang Jie-Ee Wei set for Orleans Masters outing as top seeds

Lee Zii Jia is set to play his first competitive match in three months, as the top seed at the Orleans Masters which begins tomorrow alongside national mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei who are also seeded first.
All the country’s top shuttlers are back in action for this Super 300 event, which kick-starts their participation in Europe throughout the month of March.
Most of these elite shuttlers will be using the Orleans Masters as a warm-up to the prestigious All-England which begins next week.

For Lee, it will be about getting much-needed competitive action after he sat on the sidelines since last December to nurse a right ankle injury.
The men’s singles top seed will face Chinese Taipei’s Chi Yu-jen in the opening round.
Chen-Toh, meanwhile, will be the one of the pairs in contention for the mixed doubles title as the top seeds.
The Malaysians, currently ranked fourth in the world, are up against Danish pair Rasmus Espersen-Amalie Cecilie.
Chen-Toh’s biggest challenger would be French pair Thom Gicquel-Delphine Delrue, who are seeded second.
Two other Malaysian pairs are seeded second in this tournament.
Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik and Pearly Tan-M.Thinaah will both face a qualifier in the men’s and women’s doubles.
