The men's singles shuttler has been missing from competitive action since he got injured at last year's World Tour Finals (WTF) in China last December.
Things have changed quickly for the soon to be 27-year-old in these last two months.
At the WTF, he was in imperious form having qualified to the semi-finals after winning his first two group games against Chou Tien-chen and Anders Antonsen.
But in the third game, Lee injured his right ankle against Li Shi Feng having won the first game, and left the court in a wheelchair.
That withdrawal also meant his time with former coach Wong Tat Meng came to an end.
Now, with a new coach in Yeoh Kay Bin, Lee will seek to discover that same potency which he had in China.
It will take some time, especially now seeing he may be doing things in a different way with Yeoh.
The Orleans Masters will be also become Lee's warm-up event before he competes at the All-England the following week.
Other shuttlers who will feature at the Orleans Masters include Singapore's Loh Kean Yew, Chinese Taipei's Lin Chun-yi and H.S.Prannoy of India.
