Yi Fan thanks Chong Wei for Jay Chou concert tickets in Malaysia
World number one women’s doubles shuttler Jia Yi Fan said Lee Chong Wei’s kind-heartedness allowed her to attend Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou's concert in Malaysia.
“Some of my team-mates already had the tickets when Jay Chou was performing during the Malaysia Open week [in January]. Some of us wanted to go so much but couldn’t get the tickets.
“So we asked Chong Wei if he could get us tickets, he said no problem and got it for us. Thanks to him, I was able to experience my first-ever concert,” shared Jia.

The Chinese ace also added that Lee’s influence extended beyond just getting concert tickets.
“There was once we went to a restaurant that we wanted to try, but the queue was too long. So we wondered if Chong Wei could help us get a table. We got in touch with him, and he was able to help. He really is a nice person,” she added.
Jia was speaking in Shenzhen, China where she and Lee were gathered as part of The Legends’ Vision Mix & Match along with China's all-time men’s singles great Lin Dan.
Other renowned Chinese shuttlers such as Zheng Si Wei, Liu Yu Chen, Huang Ya Qiong, Lu Guang Zu and He Bing Jao were also in attendance.
Both Lee and Lin Dan were on opposite teams, with the Malaysian leading Team Tiger and Lin Dan in charge of Team Dragon.
