World Championships: Zii Jia to face Antonsen in round three

Lee Zii Jia turned in another commanding performance at the BWF World Championships after he disposed Brian Yang 21-16, 21-11 to set up a third round showdown against Anders Antonsen.
Lee continued his steady march in this premiere event against the young Canadian, wrapping up the contest after just 33 minutes of action.
Unsurprisingly, his powerful smashes - mostly coming from the mid-court position - did the damage against Yang in the first game.

The Canadian did mount a late charge in the second game against Lee, but he had opened up a gap big enough to seal the victory and his ticket into the third round.
But Lee was denied another contest against Ng Tze Yong, who was upstaged by Antonsen 22-24, 16-21.
Ng did his best to match the Dane, but the latter got his deserved lead deep into deuce in the first game and had a smoother time in the second.
In the mixed doubles, Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei served up a strong display to outclass Hong Kong's Reginald Lee-Ng Tsz Yau 21-19, 21-9.
The 14th seeds next face French pair Thom Gicquel-Delphine Delrue for a quarter-finals spot.

Tan-Thinaah should have a tougher test against Japan's Mayu Matsumoto-Wakana Nagahara on Thursday.
Meanwhile, mixed doubles Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing as well as women's doubles pairs Vivian Hoo-Lim Chiew Sien and Teoh Mei Xing-Anna Cheong saw their respective challenges come to an end on day three of the tournament.
