Perseorangan utama badminton negara, Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei, optimis akan pulih sepenuhnya daripada kecederaan lutut bagi memastikan penyertaan dalam saingan Seluruh England, bulan depan.
Bagi Chong Wei, latihan pemulihannya berjalan lancar sepanjang minggu ini dan dia juga sudah memulakan latihan di gelanggang.
Pemain nombor satu dunia ini mengakui enggan melepaskan aksi di Birmingham, England itu yang merupakan antara kejohanan kegemarannya.
Chong Wei turut menyuarakan kesediaan menggandakan usahanya ketika latihan bagi memastikan dia berada di tahap terbaik sebelum berangkat.
"Beberapa minggu ini sesi latihan memang agak baik untuk kaki saya. Saya harap dapat beraksi kerana Seluruh England adalah antara kejohanan pilihan saya," ujar Chong Wei.
Dalam pada itu, jurulatih perseorangan negara, Tey Seu Bock, turut berpuas hati dengan tahap kecergasan serta pemulihan atlet berusia 34 tahun itu.
"Dia sudah tidak mengadu sakit tetapi kami masih perlu berjaga-jaga. Jadi minggu depan kami akan tentukan sama ada dia mampu beraksi atau tidak.
"Tetapi buat masa ini, segala persiapan itu menampakkan dia akan beraksi," jelas Seu Bock.
