Taipei Open: Seng Zoe stuns Tsuneyama to make last eight

Yeoh Seng Zoe carved out his best result of the year after the Malaysian independent men’s singles shuttler tamed world number 14 Kanta Tsuneyama 21-19, 21-15 to march into the Taipei Open quarter-finals.
The 44-minute victory came as a massive boost for the 139th ranked Yeoh, who had not progressed beyond the first round of the four tournaments he participated in this year.
But against the 14th ranked Tsuneyama, Yeoh exuded calmness against the Japanese, using his cross-court skill to great effect to rack up the points.
