Goh Sze Fei- Nur Izzuddin secured their biggest career win after they captured the Japan Open men's doubles title after beating South Korea's Kang Min-hyuk-Seo Seung-jae in a one-sided final on Sunday.
The world number 12 pair overcame their opponents 21-19, 21-15 in a 44-minute contest at the Yokohama Arena to secure their biggest title together as a pair.
In doing so, Goh-Izzuddin also becomes the first Malaysian men's doubles pair to win the Japan Open since Chan Chong Ming-Chew Choon Eng did it in 2002.
The national pair took a tightly contested first game thanks to an excellent defence and their consistency to dominate the front and middle court area.
There was nothing separating both pairs at 18-18, but the Malaysians' steady play powered them ahead to take the important lead.
The world number 12 pair were even more dominant in the second game, as they became more offensive against the South Koreans who were making more mistakes.
Goh-Izzuddin secured a 11-8 lead in the second game, which gave them the confidence to see it all the way through for their biggest career triumph.
