Sudirman Cup: Tang Jie-Ee Wei back as Malaysia rout Australia 4-1
Reunited mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei set Malaysia on their way to a 4-1 success over Australia to book their Sudirman Cup quarter-finals berth with ease on Tuesday.
Chen-Toh were playing together for the first time after a brief split, and showed just how potent their combination can be with a 21-8, 21-12 victory over Ricky Tang-Gronya Somerville.
While the Australians were never a match for the Malaysians on paper, Chen-Toh came out firing and did not offer their opponents any opportunity to make this an even contest.

As a result, victory was sealed in 27-minutes.
As expected, the national contingent were made up of a different line-up from those who easily overcame France in the first Group C match on Monday.
Justin Hoh was among the changes to the line-up, and delivered the second point in the men’s singles with a 21-9, 21-15 victory over Shrey Dhand.
National women's singles shuttler K. Letshaana then earned herself a morale boosting 21-6, 21-8 win against Kai Kee Teo in the women’s singles.
Reigning Asian champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik made it 4-0, needing only 26-minutes to beat Jack Yu-Frederick Zhao 21-8, 21-9 in the men’s doubles.
Malaysia would lose their perfect record after national women's doubles shuttlers Carmen Ting-Go Pei Kee lost 15-21, 18-21 to Somerville-Angela Yu in the final match.
Malaysia will play Japan on Thursday to determine the winners of Group C.
