K. Letshanaa, who was recently reabsorbed into the national team, didn’t disappoint with a 21-19, 21-12 women's singles win over Tiffany Ho for the 3-0 lead.

But bigger tests await Malaysia with India and Chinese Taipei to come on Monday and Wednesday respectively.
