Malaysia served up another sizzling performance at the Sudirman Cup after they outmuscled Denmark 3-1 to set up a semi-finals showdown against South Korea on Saturday.

Fast rising mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei gave Malaysia the crucial lead when they came from behind to beat Mathias Christiansen-Alexandra Boje 15-21, 21-14, 21-7 in a 58-minute battle.

Chen-Toh, who were on the cusp of breaking into the world top 20 despite only being paired late last year, found themselves trailing after the Danes flew off the traps with an energetic combination for the lead.

But the Malaysians found their groove in the second and returned with a more solid gameplan to frustrate their opponents and levelled the scores.

It was in the decider that Chen-Toh shone, steamrolling through the points as Christiansen-Boje found no answers to their quality power-play.

Denmark's early setback was compounded as the pick of the match so far between Lee Zii Jia and Viktor Axelsen ended after only five minutes.

The world number one pulled his left hamstring and was forced to retire with the scores tied 4-4.

The injury immediately put the Malaysians in the driving seat at 2-0, with only a point needed to confirm the semi-finals berth.

Despite doing her best to push Mia Blichfeldt to the wire in the women's singles, Goh Jin Wei lost 14-21, 21-15, 19-21.

But Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik ensured the victory would be sealed in the men's doubles, as they showed up with a fiery performance to win in straight games 21-17, 21-16 against Kim Astrup-Anders Rasmussen.
