Memegang status nombor satu dunia, Wee Kiong dan V Shem, tetap tenang menangani tekanan yang dihadapi mereka.
Diletakkan sebagai antara prospek kejayaan untuk skuad negara bagi kempen Seluruh England kali ini, mereka mahu mengambil pendekatan menghadapi satu demi satu perlawanan tanpa mengira siapa lawan mereka.
"Setiap kali kami beraksi dalam Seluruh England, yang penting kami dapat beraksi dengan baik," ujar Wee Kiong.
Satu lagi wakil beregu lelaki negara, Teo Ee Yi dan Ong Yew Sin, mengakui teruja untuk beraksi di Birmingham untuk julung kalinya.
Biarpun dilabel sebagai bukan pilihan, mereka mempunyai misi untuk mencipta kejutan, sekaligus mara sekurang-kurangnya ke peringkat suku akhir.
"Buat masa ini, status 'underdog' bukan satu masalah buat kami kerana kami masih belum berada di ranking terbaik.
"Kami mahu melakukan kejutan," kata Yew Sin.
