Kelab Badminton Ampang Jaya menyunting tiga pemain berstatus bintang -- seorang daripada mereka bertaraf Olimpian -- untuk merampas kejuaraan Purple League yang akan memasuki musim keempat bulan depan.
Olimpian yang dimaksudkan adalah pakar beregu campuran dan wira Sukan Olimpik Rio 2016, Chan Peng Soon.
Dua bekas juara remaja dunia juga akan menjadi sebahagian daripada skuad ini, iaitu pemain perseorangan profesional, Zulfadli Zulkiffli dan pemenang emas perseorangan wanita Sukan SEA 2017, Goh Jin Wei.
"Saya akan memberikan yang terbaik buat Ampang Jaya. Kami akan berusaha untuk meraih kejuaraan bagi musim ini," kata Zulfadli.
Aspirasi untuk muncul juara akan menjadi ujian besar buat Ampang Jaya jika mengambil kira pencapaian mereka musim lalu.
Edisi terdahulu menyaksikan Ampang Jaya menamatkan cabaran di kedudukan keenam daripada 10 pasukan bertanding.
"Kami telah berbincang dengan mereka sebelum mendapatkan mereka beraksi untuk Ampang Jaya. Kami memiliki sasaran untuk menjuarai saingan Purple League pada musim ini," kata Pengurus Ampang Jaya, Ho Khek Mong.
