The BAM president Tengku Zafrul confirmed the pair's commitment to remain in the national body until 2028, but did not disclose further on the contract details.
This announcement puts an end to months of speculation of the pair’s future, with several discussions taking place between them and BAM’s top honchos.
For the record, the world number three pair’s previous contract had ended back in December last year, with Tan-Thinaah understood to be seeking a more lucrative deal.
Zafrul explained this current deal will have a base salary, with the increments depending on several criterias such as their performances and world ranking position.
With their contract matter resolved, the country's top women's pair will have an opportunity to focus on a big few weeks that looms ahead.
Tan-Thinaah will first compete at next week’s Japan Open where they face Bulgarian sisters Gabriela Stoeva-Stefani Stoeva in the opening round.
After that, they will compete at the China Open which is a Super 1000 event before preparing for the World Championships in Paris come August.
Tan-Thinaah are expected to reach at least the semi-finals of the Japan and China Open, and to contend for a medal at the world champs.
