Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik were drawn against world number one pair Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang at the Paris Olympics men's doubles draw on Monday.

The Malaysians will also have English pair Ben Lane-Sean Vendy and Canadians Adam Dong-Nyl Yakura in Group A of the upcoming Olympics.

A total of 174 athletes from 48 National Olympic Council and one from the International Olympic Committee Refugee Olympic team will compete at the badminton events.

For Chia-Soh, the aim will certainly be to top their group which means toppling Liang-Wang.

To do that, Chia-Soh will need to produce the form which saw them beat the reigning world champions at the Thomas Cup semi-finals in May.

With two pairs guaranteed a place in the knockout rounds, Chia-Soh should have no issues to making it to the next round.

The world number five pair, however, will need to try and make it out as Group A champions in order to avoid a knockout round meeting against South Koreans Kang Min-hyuk-Seo Seung-jae from Group B.

The draws for the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles, meanwhile, was done last week.
