Momota battles An Se-young in unique match

Kento Momota and An Se-young recently participated in a unique practice match in South Korea, and all the talk was about the former men’s singles ace who has not lost his touch.
Both shuttlers took to court in a unique match that is understood to be between the Samsung Life Badminton Team and Momota’s NTT East Badminton Club.
Eventhough it was a practice match, both shuttlers took it seriously and engaged in many competitive rallies.

An, who tops the women’s singles ranking, did her best to push Momota all over the court with her flat drives and net play.
The 30-year-old Momota, who retired from competitive action last year, matched almost every shot the South Korean ace threw at him without smashing.
Interestingly, An also rarely produced any smashes, especially her signature cross-court attacks.
Momota's footwork and quality shots drew praises from fans, who were simply excited to see both these icons do battle against each other.
Despite retiring from international badminton, two-time world champion Momota is understood to be still active with his club.
