Malaysian youngsters continued to flex their muscles on the international stage after winning three titles at the Latvia International on Sunday.

The national contingent bagged the men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles titles in the city of Jelgava.

Former junior singles shuttler Yap Roy King teamed up with Valeree Siow to oust team-mates Nurfirdaus Azman-Low Yeen Yuan 22-20, 21-15 for the mixed doubles title in 36 minutes.

The victory also marked the first senior title for the pair together.

Siow then captured her second title in quick succession after combining with Low to defeat Italians Martina Corsini-Judith Mair 21-7, 21-17 in 30 minutes for their second senior title this year.

The pairing of Yap-Nurfirdaus completed a memorable day for the national contingent by clinching the men’s doubles title with a 21-23, 21-15, 21-19 triumph over team-mates Arif Junaidi-Muhammad Haikal.

It marked another successful outing for Malaysia's back-up shuttlers in lower ranked events on the BWF World Tour.

In June, they clinched three titles at the Spanish International, and a month prior they won two titles at the Austrian Open in the mixed and men’s doubles categories.

They also won two titles at the Slovenia International in May, one of which came through Siow-Low.

In March, Malaysia won three titles at the Polish Open in the men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles.
