Malaysia named the same group of players who featured against Denmark for the 2018 Thomas Cup quarter-final tie with Indonesia on Thursday.
Lee Chong Wei will lead the way for Malaysia, taking on Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, whom he beat once at last month's Badminton Asia Championships in Wuhan, China.
Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong will then take on world no.1 pair Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon.
After recording an outstanding win in the Denmark match, Lee Zii Jia has been selected to be the second singles shuttler and face world no. 11 Jonatan Christie.
For the fourth match, if necessary, scratch pair Aaron Chia and Teo Ee Yi have been teamed up again for the third time in the competition to play against Rian Ardianto and Fajar Alfian, who memorably defeated Goh and Tan in the 2018 Malaysia Masters final.
Teo, being paired with Ong Yew Sin at the time, also suffered a defeat at the hands of the Indonesian duo at the 2017 SEA Games.
If it goes all the way to the final match-up, Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin, celebrating his 27th birthday today, will be looking to celebrate the occasion with a win over Ihsan Maulana Mustofa.
The winners of this tie will meet either China or Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals tomorrow.
