K. Letshaana gave herself a major boost by reaching the Indonesia Masters women’s singles final after she beat Chinese Taipei’s Liang Ting-yu 21-18, 21-19 in the semi-finals on Saturday.
The national shuttler will now go on to face either an Indonesian or Hong Kong opponent in her quest to claim a first title on the World Tour this year.
The 21-year-old has done well for herself in this Super 100 event so far, starting with two straight game victories over Eng Ler Qi and Bilqis Prasista of Malaysia and Indonesia respectively.
The third-seed then checked into the semis after her Indonesian opponent Chiara Marvella Handoyo retired in the third game.
Letshaana last won on the World Tour when she claimed the Uganda International title last year after beating Turkey’s Neslihan Yigit in straight games.
