Letshaana, Aidil finish second at Indonesia Masters

Malaysia finished with two silver medals at the Indonesia Masters after national shuttlers K. Letshaana and Aidil Sholeh were beaten in straight games by their Indonesian opponents on Sunday.

In the second match of the day, Letshaana went down 19-21, 17-21 against Ni Kadek Pratiwi in a 51-minute encounter.

Letshaana was on course to take the opening game with 16-12 and 18-16 leads, but Pratiwi was composed to take the final two points for the lead.

Both shuttlers battled hard in the second game, but the Indonesian once again showed composure to secure the final four points for the victory.

Defeat leaves the world number 63 Letshaana still searching for her first title this year.

In the men’s singles final, Aidil was no match for the second seeded Alwi Farhan as he lost 10-21, 9-21 after just 31-minutes.
