Chong Wei mudah mengatasi Jorgensen dalam set pertama untuk menang 21-18.
Namun, memasuki set kedua, kesilapan demi kesilapan, terutama dalam permainan jaring, membuka peluang untuk Jorgensen menang 21-15.
Bagaimanapun, Chong Wei berjaya memperkemaskan permainan dalam set ketiga untuk menang 21-16.
Ini merupakan kejuaraan keenam Chong Wei selepas muncul juara pada tahun 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013 dan 2014.
