Pearly Tan-M.Thinaah delivered a performance worthy of their top seed status at the Kumamoto Masters by securing 11 consecutive points to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
Unlike their first round win where they had to work hard before prevailing, the world number two pair had a far easier time in the round of 16 as they dispatched South Korea’s Jeong Na-eun-Lee Yeon-woo 21-14, 21-9.

The highlight of Tan-Thinaah’s 32-minute success came in the second game, which saw them secure 11 straight points to win 21-9.
Leading 11-9 at the interval, the Malaysians won every single point after that to confirm the straightforward victory which will now pit them against either a Chinese Taipei or Japanese pair next.
Tan-Thinaah were the only Malaysian shuttlers to win in the morning session, with four other representatives losing their matches.
They included K.Letshaana, Jacky Kok and mixed doubles pairs Jimmy Wong-Lai Pei Jing and Hoo Pang Ron-Cheng Su Yin.
