KL Masters: Super Sunday as Jun Hao,Peng Soon-Yee See capture men's singles, mixed doubles titles
It was a super Sunday for the Malaysian contingent at the KL Masters, as Leong Jun Hao and Chan Peng Soon-Cheah Yee See claimed the men's singles and mixed doubles titles courtesy of fine victories in the finals' at the Titiwangsa Stadium.
First up with Chan-Cheah, and it was a rather poignant moment for Chan who has indicated he will hang up his racquet professionally next year.

Malaysians carved out a 21-9, 17-21, 21-10 triumph over Thailand’s Pakkapon Teeraratsakul-Phataimas Muenwong in the 62-minute duel.

"I'm happy and proud to have won it here in Malaysia. At this age, for me the target is just to enjoy every game and give my best. I’m not young anymore and sometimes my body tells me that.
“I have to motivate myself extra hard when I wake up and the body is sore. Sometimes I have to alter my training to suit my condition too,” said Chan.
This is Chan’s second World Tour title with Cheah since they won the Russian Open back in 2017 as a scratch pair.
Leong Jun Hao capped a wonderful ending to this Super 100 event after he beat Chinese Taipei's top seeded Lee Chia-hao 22-20, 21-13 for his first title of the year.
Leong has struggled with injuries this year, but the KL-born looked to be back at his best with a magnificent all-round display in the final for the deserved win.
Malaysia had earlier missed out on a third title after men’s doubles Low Hang Yee-Ng Eng Cheong lost in straight games 21-23, 17-21 against Chinese Taipei’s Chen Cheng-kuan-Chen Cheng Sheng-fa.
Other results saw Thailand’s rising star Pitchamon Opatniputh capture the women’s singles title with a 21-12, 24-22 victory over South Korea’s Kim Joo-eun.
