India Open: Aaron-Wooi Yik lose in semis against home pair

National men's doubles pair Aaron-Soh Wooi Yik were sent packing from the India Open semi-finals after a straight game loss against home favourites Satwik Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty.
Chia-Soh's 18-21, 14-21 loss also meant they failed to replicate last year's performance which saw them reach the final.
The first game was as close as it got, with pairs not giving each other much room.

Service errors and short rallies became the theme of the game, which was won by the Indian pair who capitalized from the Malaysian's unforced errors at the end.
Chia-Soh started the second game well and took the lead at the interval, but the world number two combination recovered well.
With Chirag sharp at the net and Rankireddy exploiting the gaps in Chia-Soh's defence, they sealed victory fairly comfortably.
Rankireddy-Shetty who have now beaten Chia-Soh for the third time in a row, will go on to face South Koreans Kang Min-hyuk-Seo Seung-jae in the final on Sunday.
The world number four Malaysians will most likely head to the Indonesia Masters after this.
