Lee Zii Jia entered his second final of the year after a triumphant 21-19, 22-20 victory over India's K. Srikanth to book a clash against Loh Kean Yew for the Hylo Open men's singles title.

Lee was coming into this contest full of confidence after staging an amazing comeback in his straight-game quarter-final victory on Friday.

That confidence showed as the Malaysian pulled out all the stops in his 21-19 opening game win against an opponent he was facing for the first time.

An amazing defence, starting with a last-ditch backhand return and sealed with an overhead kill meant Lee walked into the interval with an 11-9 lead.

As an experienced shuttler, Srikanth found a way to stay in the contest until 19-19, but another thundering smash from Lee meant 20-19 and paved the way for a much needed lead.

Lee seized the initiave in the second game with a 4-0 advantage, but Srikanth battled back to lead 11-9.

The former world number one led 15-10, but like how he did against Kantaphon Wangcharoen in the quarters, Lee came from behind to lead 17-15.

The following points were close, but the world number eight did enough to cross the line with a 22-20 triumph after 38 minutes.

Lee will next face the shuttler who beat him at last week's French Open, in a bid to land his second title of the year.
