The national contingent are guaranteed at least one finalist at the ongoing Spanish International with S. Kisona, Goh Jin Wei and Eoon Qi Xuan all cruising to the semi-finals.

Fourth seeded Kisona, who is one of the highest ranked shuttlers in this tournament, did not have to break too much sweat to see off Spaniard Beatriz Corrales 21-15, 21-14.

The world number 61 will next take on Frenchwoman Yaelle Hoyaux for a place in the women's singles final.

The other semis is an all Malaysian affair between Eoon and Goh.

Eoon beat Ania Setien 21-10, 21-12, while Goh also had no problems seeing off Jenjira Stadelmann 21-15, 21-12.

If all goes according to plan, Malaysia could also have representatives in the men’s and mixed doubles finals.

Man Wei Chong-Kai Wun Tee play English Matthew Clarke-Ethan Van Leeuwen for a place in the men’s doubles final, after they overcame Austria’s Philip Birker-Dominik Stipsits 21-18, 21-12.

Kai Wun Tee-Teoh Mei Xing were equally good in the mixed doubles to see off Victor Martin-Haidee Ojeda 21-17, 21-17.

They are up against Russian duo Rodion Kargaev-Viktoriia Vorobeva for a place in the final.

Both the semi-finals and final will be played out throughout Saturday in La Nucia.

Malaysia are looking to return with title hauls from this International Challenge event, having won two at the Austrian Open earlier this month.
