Malaysia’s involvement ended in the French Open semi-finals after Ng Tze Yong went down in straight games 17-21, 12-21 against reigning Asian Games champion Li Shi Feng.

The match was over in 47 minutes, with Li never really given a stern examination by the Malaysian.

The Chinese shuttler pulled away after the 11-point break in the first game with a 20-13 lead before converting the lead.

The world number five soon converted the victory, where he goes on to face Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie in the final.
