Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying finally ended their seven-month long winless streak after earning a resilient 21-19, 21-19 victory over India’s Dhruv Kapila-Reddy N.Sikki at the French Open.

The Malaysians’ 35-minute victory was a welcomed relieve for the much maligned pair, who did not win a single match at the Tokyo Olympics, and went on to lose their first round match at the Denmark Open last week.

Chan-Goh will next face Japan’s Yuki Kaneko-Misaki Matsutomo in the second round.
