The Thomas & Uber Cup became the latest tournament to be postponed by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), who have pushed the dates from May 16-24 to August 15-23 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The biennial team event to be held in Aarhus, Denmark had to be postponed due to the severity of the coronavirus outbreak, which saw more than 1,200 people tested positive in the country.

"The health, safety and wellbeing of all athletes, their entourage, officials and the greater badminton community is the top priority.
"Heightened travel and quarantine restrictions and the subsequent extreme logistical complications has also contributed to the postponement.
"Our thoughts are first and foremost with everyone affected by the pandemic around the world," said BWF secretary general Thomas Lund in a statement.
The rescheduling came on the heels of several events the world body decided the same fate, including the India Open, Malaysia Open, Singapore Open and Badminton Asia Championships, all scheduled for March and April.
If the Covid-19, causing over 11,000 deaths worldwide, continues to wreak havoc, all sporting events including the badminton calendar could be affected from June and beyond.
This would jeopardize the Tokyo Olympics as well, and many sports bodies around the world are now pushing for the global event (July 24-August 9) to be postponed as well.
