The first set saw an aggresive start from Danish pair Anders Rasmussen-Kim Astrup. Although the national pair tried to close the points gap, it was too late to catch up, giving Denmark a 21-16 victory in the first set within 21 minutes.

In the second set, Malaysia were trailing for most of the match until a signficant turnaround at 16-20. Malaysia made the impossible by taking down six points straight when all seemed to be over. A score of 22-20 dragged Anders Rasmussen-Kim Astrup into the final deciding set.

In the final set, Malaysia had a huge lead of 14-9 at one point with a strong momentum with them, but the Danish pair pulled off a just an impressive comeback, tieing the match at 19-19. The Malaysian pair's determination and attacking precision was however enough to turn the tide around and secure a 21-19 victory, contributing the country's first bronze medal.

With this victory, Aaron Chia-Soh Woi Yik successfully defended the bronze medal they won in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Congratulations again, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, and thank you for making Malaysia shine on the international stage!
