BAC: Aaron-Wooi Yik stun top Chinese pair on home turf to reach final
Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik turned in a sizzling performance to reach the Badminton Asia Championships (BAC) final after they disposed of China’s Liang Wei King-Wang Chang 21-12, 21-14 in a one-sided match.
It was a fired up performance from the Malaysians, who only needed 31-minutes for the victory.
The win also avenges defeat to their world number three opponents from the Paris Olympics semi-finals, where both pairs last met.

Chia-Soh are peaking in this tournament, having also beaten Indonesian third seeds Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto in straight games on Friday.
The world number six pair have now reached their first final of the year, having fallen short in two semi-finals at the India Open and Indonesia Masters earlier this year.
Chia-Soh will now go on to either Chen Bo Yang-Liu Chen or Leo Carnando-Bagas Maulana in the final.
The Paris Olympics bronze medalists will surely go all out to finally win this prestigious Asian event, having finished second in 2022 and losing to Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin in last year’s semi-finals.
Goh-Izzuddin had on Friday failed to reach a second consecutive BAC final after losing in three close games against Chen-Liu.
Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai also lost in the quarter-finals in this tournament that is held for the second year in Ningbo, China
