Axelsen set to begin rehab after successful surgery
Viktor Axelsen will begin his rehabilitation after undergoing a successful surgery for a back injury that is set to leave him on the sidelines for several weeks.
The two-time Olympic champion shared the update on his social media page, with a picture of him in a back brace.
Axelsen underwent surgery on Wednesday to fix the issue, and updated on the surgery success after that.
Being out for several weeks means the world number three will miss the European Championships (April 8-13) & Sudirman Cup (April 27-May 4).

But the Danish ace could be back in time for the Malaysia Masters (May 20-25) where he is the reigning champion after beating Lee Zii Jia in last year’s final.
Axelsen was quick to let his fans know that he is far from done with badminton, and he will do everything necessary to be back at his best.
The strapping shuttler also recently shared with The Olympics Games on his secret to success.
“I’m not trying to be something I’m not. Everyday is a training of the brain. You have to make the right decisions.
“The structure of your day to day life is something that you have to be very good from a young age if you want to make it in an individual sport. That’s how I train my brain. Keep giving myself challenges, both on and off the court,” he said.
