Owen Low, one of the 2019 AKB participants, said: "AKB was a good training programme as we were trained by national coaches and were given the opportunity by Astro to advance to training with the Japanese National Junior Team and their renowned coaches in Tokyo. The experience was surreal and have really made an impact in my life."

Another participant, Oo Shan Zi, said: "My skills and game have improved so much from the training and tips gained at the camp. It is great that AKB’s story has been made into a documentary which I believe will encourage more Malaysians to join the selection camp next year."

The Precious Feathers would be the second AKB documentary to be released this year after the premiere of The Shuttlecock Chaser just a week earlier.

Astro Kem Badminton was first launched by Astro Kasih in 2012 to provide a platform for young children to pursue their aspirations in the sport.

Today 70% of the Malaysian junior team at Akademi Badminton Negara were alumni of the programme.
