European captain Thomas Bjorn appears set for a painful visit to the tattoo parlour as a result of his team's Ryder Cup triumph at Le Golf National.
In a joyous news conference following Europe's 17.5-10.5 victory over the United States, Ian Poulter was the first to allude to the home team having "some extra motivation this week".

Justin Rose subsequently confirmed the promise of a tattoo was the motivation in question, prompting a reporter to ask Bjorn which part of his body was about to be inked.
"Let me put it this way, it's going to go on a part that only Grace [Bjorn's girlfriend] will see," replied the Dane.
"I might have to send them [Europe's players] a picture. Well, then you'll all see it as well, I guess."
Amid much laughter, a grinning Bjorn said: "It was the worst decision I made all week."
"No, it was the best," interjected Sergio Garcia.
"It was clearly the best," said Poulter.
