Tyron Woodley defended his welterweight championship by beating Darren Till via submission at UFC 228 in Dallas on Saturday.

The American, who has held the title since July 2016, had Till submit in the second round thanks to a D'Arce choke.

Woodley (19-3-1) has now defended his title four times, although it was his first fight in more than a year, while the defeat was Till's first.

In the women's strawweight, Jessica Andrade knocked out Karolina Kowalkiewicz in a non-title fight.

Abdul Razak Alhassan also landed a first-round knockout in his win over Niko Price in the welterweight weight class.

Zabit Magomedsharipov and Jimmie Rivera were also winners on the main card.
