Malaysian diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri narrowly missed out on a medal finish as she finished fourth in the women's three-metre springboard final at the 2020 Olympic Games on Sunday.

The 22-year-old scored 326.15 points from five dives as Krysta Palmer of the United States beat her to the bronze medal with 343.75 points.

Shi Tingmao (383.50 points) successfully defended her Rio 2016 gold medal as she was joined by her Chinese compatriot Wang Han (348.75 points) on the podium.

Although she did not win any medal, Nur Dhabitah can be proud of her performance that saw her eclipse Ng Yan Yee's records in the event.

Ng finished 10th in the final and scored 306.60 points in the semi-final at the 2016 Olympic Games.
