Pemain tenis Indonesia, Muhammad Rifqi Fitriadi, menganggap kecederaan yang dialami bintang tenis remaja negara, Christian Didier Chin, membuka peluangnya untuk muncul juara acara perseorangan lelaki dalam Siri Pertama Sirkit Kebangsaan, hari ini.
Christian memulakan saingan dengan baik dengan menewaskan Rifqi 7-5 dalam set pertama.
Namun, Rifqi bangkit daripada ketinggalan 0-3 untuk menundukkan pemain muda Sabah itu 6-4 dalam set kedua.
Perlawanan dramatik dalam set berkenaan bertukar mudah buat Rifqi dalam set penentuan selepas meraih kemenangan 6-0 ke atas Christian yang bergelut dengan kecederaan kaki.
Rifqi turut menganggap kemenangan itu sebagai hadiah hari jadinya yang jatuh pada 23 Januari lalu.
"Saya bermain dengan agresif dalam set pertama, namun dia berjaya mengatasi saya.
"Saya mengubah pendekatan itu dalam set kedua dan berjaya memenangi set tersebut.
"Dia mengalami kecederaan dalam set ketiga dan situasi itu memberikan kelebihan buat saya," katanya.
