Iga Swiatek claimed her 100th WTA-1000 match victory by beating Elena Rybakina to reach the semi-finals of the Qatar Open.

The world number two is hunting a fourth straight title in Doha, and her surge continued with a 6-2 7-5 victory on Thursday.

After taking the first set in just over 30 minutes, Swiatek found herself a break down in the second.

Rybakina fended off three break points on her way to taking a 4-2 lead, but from there, Swiatek did not look back.

The Pole reeled off three straight games and, though Rybakina hit back with a vital hold, Swiatek just had too much.

Swiatek sealed victory at the first time of asking – Rybakina sending a poor second serve into the net to bring her campaign to an end.

Data Debrief: Swiatek brings up her ton

Swiatek has won 100 of her 121 matches at WTA-1000 level. Since the format's inception in 2009, only Serena Williams (115) hit the milestone in fewer matches.

The 23-year-old is the second-youngest player to hit a century of WTA-1000 match wins, with only Caroline Wozniacki having done so at a younger age.

She is now on a 15-match winning streak at the Qatar Open, which is the longest such run in the tournament's 24-year history.
